a Sister Cite relationship in 1991. Open World education delegates from Poltava met with New York State Senator Michael Nozollio in Albany to discuss education policies in the U.S.
Founded in 1982, the Boulder - Dushanbe Sister Cities is dedicated to developing friendship and understanding between citizens of Boulder, Colorado and Dushanbe, Tajikistan. This Open World delegation of Tajikistan educators explored the diversity of education models in Boulder area schools.

Great Falls, Montana citizens hosted an Open World Russia delegation of judges to share ideas about juvenile justice and youth development. The Russian delegates greatly appreciated meeting Great Falls youth at a local high school and in the juvenile detention facility.
